Application for free Narcan through the Naloxone Distribution Project (NDP) approved on November 28th, 2018

  • Have a supply of Narcan to distribute throughout the community
  • Have distributed over 300 Narcan kits

SafeRx Narcan Kit – 2 doses of naloxone, instructions in both Spanish and English, gloves, and CPR mouth mask

 

Established partnership with The Clearlake Youth center to fund a youth support group based on the 12-step program

  • Target ages: 13-19
  • Inclusive of all perspectives/beliefs
  • Space for youth to express themselves and have support with substance abuse and other life issues
  • Not advice/counseling but based on decision-making models
  • Can potentially be used by schools to refer students

The program provides patients and family members with an opportunity to access a naloxone kit during a suspected overdose, potentially preventing an opioid-related death.
